Mellott, Ind - Earl R. Crowder, 61 a Mellott farmer died at 12:50 p.m. yesterday Jan 21, 1967 at St. Eliz. Hospital where he had been a patient 4 weeks. He had been in failing health for several years. Born Feb 23, 1905 in Cates, he was the son of Amos and Maude Witsman Crowder. He was married Aug 20, 1927 to Ruth Mortimore of Mellott, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Donald of Mellott & Larry of Arcadia, Calif; 10 grandchildren; his parents; four sisters, Roberta Neihma of Kingman; Catherine Boehm of Beech Grove; Vera Brooks and Emma Hack of Michigan and five brothers, Ora Crowder of RR Veedersburg; Chancy of Cates; Eaustus of Colorado Springs, Colo; Keith of DeKalb, Ill and Amos Crowder, Jr. of Michigan. Mr. Crowder. was a retired farmer and welder. He was a member of the Mellott United Church of Christ. The body is at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home where arrnagements are incomplete.

Earl R. Crowder, age 61, of Mellott, died early Saturday afternoon, Jan 21 in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill where he had been a patient 4 weeks. Mr. Crowder was a retired farmer and welder. He was a member of United Church of Christ, Mellott. He was born Feb 23, 1905, near Cates, the son of Amos and Maude Witsman Crowder. He was married August 20, 1921, to Ruth Mortimore of Mellott and she survives. Surviving in addition are the parents; two sons, Donald of Mellott and Larry of Arcadia, California; four sisters, Mrs. Roberta Neihma of Kingman; Mrs. Catherine Boehm of Beech Grove and Mrs. Vera Brooks and Mrs. Emma Hacker, living in Michigan; 5 brothers, Ora of Veedersburg; Chauncy of Cates, Eaustus of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Keith of Dekalb, Ill and Amos, Jr.living in Michigan and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Rev. Charles Kraft Jr. officiated and burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mellott, Ind. - Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro for Earl R. Crowder, 61, a Mellott area farmer. He died at 12:50 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 21, 1967) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. The Rev. Charles Craft will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. today.
